        Founded in 1985, Mr. T's Gyros is known for revolutionizing the way people eat and enjoy food. We take pride in our ability to discover the most unique flavors from around the world and share them with the Schiller Park area. 

 

As a young man, and after college, George was working in different fast-food restaurants. He always had a food creation and always saw other restaurants missing something from my food. George prioritized the quality of the good and of course affordable prices. In the beginning years, he worked at other restaurants until he gained experience and practice before he started his establishment. When he was finally ready to open his own restaurant he needed to plan and brainstorm ideas that could offer the best fast food. He paid close attention to the quality and portion of food at a reasonable price. This balance between the portion of each meal and prices was what jump-started his business. 

 

So in the mid 70’s he got involved working and growing other restaurants. Beginning in the 80’s George officially started his own small restaurant business. He accomplished many things and improved his craft. He mastered Mr. T’s Gyros gyro sauce (tzatziki).

A few years later in the spring of 1985, Mr. T’s Gyros was open for the first time. The business was in the right direction. After a couple of years, Mr. T’s Gyros proclaimed its logo and still stands the same! Its logo states:  ‘Home of The Gyros, Super Taco & Gyro Burritos’. 

 

The logo was on the first page of the menu. George’s logo stands for quality, a good portion at a reasonable price, and great, loving, and fast customer service. Once the business took off, even more, George had the idea of the “Gyro Burrito Sandwich”. When it was first presented to Chicago, it was a great success. George created the gyro sauce and the super taco and it turned out to be a success. Now, during these difficult times, we experience Mr. T’s Gyros offers catering to traditional Greek food, village-style, and anything from the menu. For the past 35 years, Mr. T’s Gyros continues the tradition of quality food, big portions, and affordable prices. They are going strong with the love and support of their customers. In return, their customers receive their love, their hospitality, and good service from Mr. T’s Gyros. This family-owned business, its staff members, and hard-working employees are grateful to have the best customers and always happy to serve its community.
